The appeal was made during the official launch of the 80th Independence Day logo and theme at the State Palace. President Prabowo emphasized the importance of public participation in commemorating independence through national symbols that embody the spirit of struggle and unity, especially by flying the Red and White flag across the country. He encouraged citizens to celebrate Independence Day in meaningful ways beyond ceremonial observance, by engaging in positive activities such as mutual cooperation, competitions, cultural performances, and social service events to benefit underserved communities. This call to action reflects a broader national spirit commemorating eight decades of Indonesian independence, under the official theme of “Unity, Sovereignty, People’s Welfare, and an Advanced Indonesia,” unveiled by the President himself.
