Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta in Rawamangun, East Jakarta on Monday to oversee the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program. This initiative was part of a nationwide launch held simultaneously in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens across Indonesia. Minister Dito highlighted that this program reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s care and concern for the health of young Indonesians, aligning closely with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ vision under the Asta Cita development framework. The aim is to enhance the overall physical fitness of the Indonesian population by gathering data from the CKG program to inform policies promoting healthy lifestyles among students. The minister was accompanied by several officials and athletes on this visit, where 131 tenth-grade students from SMKN 26 Jakarta received health screenings, with a total of 1,600 students to be examined in the following days. The screenings cover various aspects such as height, weight, nutritional status, blood pressure, physical fitness, dental and eye health, as well as screenings for tuberculosis and mental well-being. Today’s national launch was conducted simultaneously at 12 educational institutions, showcasing President Prabowo’s vision for a reformed national healthcare system focusing on promotive and preventive care. The CKG initiative targets the Indonesian population, giving primary attention to 53.8 million students across all education levels, with over 16 million individuals already benefiting from the program as of August 1, 2025. The government believes that CKG will further advance equal access to healthcare services and lay a strong foundation for the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045.
