Both countries are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, highlighting the importance of economic cooperation in the region. President Widodo’s visit to Peru last year paved the way for President Vizcarra’s reciprocal visit, showcasing the ongoing diplomatic exchange between the two nations. This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding between Indonesia and Peru.
