Toyota Land Cruiser generation V is a worthy off-roader, but in today’s world, that’s not enough for some people. Owners who truly want to get off the beaten path turn to the aftermarket to customize their SUVs. In this case, Kuhl Racing from Japan will be showcasing the new Land Cruiser at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon that will make off-road enthusiasts drool.
Kuhl dubs its custom LC 250 as the Blocker Series Iron Build, combining a variety of off-road goodies into one very attractive package. The Land Cruiser, known as the 300 series in the US, typically has an 8.3-inch ground clearance. But Kuhl’s 7.0-inch suspension lift kit increases it to 15.7 inches.
The extra ground clearance also highlights the killer wheels – 22-inch Verz DDR03 rims wrapped in 37-inch Yokohama Geolander M/T G003 tires. The thick rubber and suspension upgrade should greatly enhance its off-road capabilities.
The company writes on social media that the Land Cruiser “blends the strength of off-road capability with Kuhl’s distinctive sporty and three-dimensional look.”
Kuhl also adds some protection, installing front and rear bumper guards, fender pipes, and skid plate. The car also comes with a roof carrier, 40-inch LED lights, and two rear wings – one hanging on the rear roof, and another smaller one on the liftgate tucked under the rear glass.
The tuner does not mention any powertrain upgrades, but in the US, the Land Cruiser comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Toyota hybrid that produces 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, which is enough for most people.
Iron Build Land Cruiser will debut alongside the Kuhl GR86 Outroad – a coupe car modified for off-road duties. The car has a 3.0-inch higher suspension, skid plate, larger tires, and will also be showcased at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon.
