Calon Wakil Gubernur Jakarta, Suswono, akan membahas lebih lanjut program makan siang gratis dengan Calon Gubernur Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil. Gagasan makan siang gratis ini mencontoh program yang dilakukan oleh Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka di sekolah.
Suswono menjelaskan bahwa program makan siang gratis yang akan mereka lakukan akan bekerja sama dengan Warung Tegal (Warteg) yang ada di Jakarta. Mereka memilih warteg karena rumah makan tersebut telah memberikan kontribusi besar kepada warga Jakarta dengan menyediakan makanan yang murah dan sehat.
“Ideally, we can expand this program by collaborating with wartegs throughout Jakarta so that the local government of Jakarta can also provide free meals in the future,” said Suswono at Subsidi Warteg in South Jakarta, Sunday (8/9/2024).
So far, their target for the free lunch program includes online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol).
“We hope that one of the target groups is Ojol drivers so that they can have free lunch,” he said.
With the existing budget, the free lunch program at warteg will be discussed with the Jakarta Provincial DPRD (Regional People’s Representative Council). He mentioned that if the DPRD approves, not only wartegs but other eateries will also be involved.
“Hopefully, with the available budget, it is possible to do so. This will be discussed with the approval of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta DPRD,” he said.
