President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia during a bilateral meeting at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo welcomed the plan as a means to enhance cooperation between the two countries in trade and investment. He emphasized the potential for mutual benefit, given Indonesia and Brazil’s shared interests and abundant resources.
Prabowo recognized Brazil’s advancements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s interest in learning from their experiences. He also appreciated President Lula’s willingness to assist Indonesia in sending technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and technologies.
The Indonesian president was in Brazil for the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro and extended an invitation for President Lula to visit Indonesia in October, where a grand celebration is planned for his 80th birthday. The discussions between the two leaders highlighted the potential for strengthened economic relations and collaboration between the two nations.
