BOGOR – Sella Sayolla Fitria (26) from Bogor City, became one of the victims in the fire incident at a frame store in Mampang, South Jakarta. The second child out of five siblings is known by her family as a hardworking person.

This was revealed by Sella’s mother, Lilis Rohaeti, who was met at the mourning house in the Kayumanis area, Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City, on Saturday (20/4/2024).

“She is responsible, cheerful with her friends as well. But she is also stubborn. If she says she has to do something, then she will. She is very persistent in her work, even though it’s far away,” said Lilis.

Lilis and her family didn’t expect that Sella would be one of the victims in the fire. The last time Sella, who had only been working for five days, said to her parents that she wouldn’t come back home was on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

“She started working five days ago, leaving on the 14th with a friend from Java. She didn’t come back home during the post-Eid period, those five days she stayed there. The last time she said goodbye to me, she said she wouldn’t return. I told her not to say that, maybe she had a premonition. During Eid al-Adha, Sella didn’t come home,” Lilis explained.

Before knowing that Sella was a victim, the family tried to contact her by phone but got no answer. Finally, the RT chairman and the police came to their house on Friday, April 19, 2024.

“She was told not to work far away, just stay nearby because she was always working far away and rarely came home. But we don’t know, when a disaster strikes, it’s fate. She had a premonition but we didn’t know there would be a disaster. It’s painful, very painful that there is, during Eid people still gather and meet, still joking around,” she concluded.
